Easy Money On Net?

Associate-O-Matic

“I really need some cash fast, in 2-3 days. Should I start a blog?”

“What profit do you have with Adsense after 2 days from starting your free web directory?”

These are two questions I’ve received a few days ago.

Let’s get the things straight. Even if we’ve chosen this domain name, EzMoneyOn.Net, we did it because we liked how it sounds. But we didn’t think that money can be made so easy on internet.

Well, read the rest of the article and tell me what you think.

1. Paid to surf/click

You don’t need to have a site in order to participate to these programs. You have to surf some sites and/or click on some ads. You have to display each site for about 30 seconds. You will earn about 0.01$/page viewed or per click. Usually, you will be paid through PayPal when you reach $10. Let’s calculate: to earn $10 you have to visit about 1000 sites x 30 seconds each = 30.000seconds = 8.3 hours. So you will earn $10 in 8.3 hours. Of course you can say that if you will stick in your chair for about 8 hours/day, you will earn $300/month. But on most of these programs you can visit a limited number of sites each day, let’s say 20 sites. So finally, you will earn $0.2/day, $6/month. All the numbers above are estimative, from what I saw in just a few paid to surf/click programs. But even if there are programs which let you to visit an unlimited number of sites, I hardly believe that you will get stuck in front of your computer 8 hours/day to earn $300/month.

2. Paid reviews

Writing posts/reviews about products/services is a quite easy way to earn some money. But in order to be accepted in paid to post programs you need to have a blog (that mean you have to choose a domain name, a hosting, to setup your blog), to write some posts on it and to wait at least a month until you submit your blog in those programs. You can find paid to post opportunities, even if your blog has PR0, but there are not well paid opportunities ($5 - $10 per post). So, to earn more money your blog must have some Google Page Rank. That means you must to obtain many inbound links (by commenting in other blogs, by participating in forums, by submitting your blog in web directories). Also, most paid to post programs requires to write also non-paid post, so you really must have some writing skills to earn money by writing posts. You can earn good money, but you have to work for that. For more information you can read our article How To Make Money With The “Paid To Post” Model, where you can find also a scenario regarding possible monthly earnings.

3. Complete Online Surveys

This seems to be a relatively easy way to earn money online. You don’t have to have a blog. All you have to do is to register and to complete the tasks which are assigned to you. You earn as long as you work so you need to work constantly. Unfortunately, most of the surveys are addressed to US residents: people from other countries will receive very few tasks, thus very few money. Because I’m not from US, I cannot tell you how much you can earn by completing online surveys.

4. PPM advertising

In order to participate in PPM (paid per thousand impressions) advertising programs, you need to have a blog with valuable traffic. You cannot have too much traffic unless you work hard to promote your blog/site, if you write quality content, if you are indexed in search engines, if you have many subscribers and so on.

5. PPC contextual advertising

You must have a site. There are no requirements of minimum traffic, so new sites can participate. But for someone to click on your ads, you must have some traffic, so here we go again: promotion, SEO and so on.

6. Affiliate programs

You get paid commissions for selling other people’s products or services. You don’t need to have a site for this; you can promote the affiliate links/ads through PPC campaigns or email campaigns. Though, you cannot expect to earn quick from your affiliate links. Usually, you need to write about the products or services you are selling and include your affiliate links on these reviews. If you display your affiliate links on your site, you must have some traffic in order to earn something.

If you have seen some guys on the internet who earns thousands of $$$, you must to know that they didn’t start to earn over night. They worked hard until their blogs have reached such an impressive amount of traffic and subscribers.

That’s all being said, I provoke you to argue against our point of view. And you can use the comment form for that

I don’t think I want to argue with you what you say.

I think it is exactly right.

Making money from blogs takes time.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, making money from blogs takes time and I don’t know why some people think that this is very easy.

Very interesting article! Most people only hear about Blogging Celebrities and Superstars, but they are the very tip of the iceberg. Few new bloggers have the time and the patience needed to grow their blog to the point where it actually makes money - these people, you DON’T hear about.

Thanks! You have right. Many people see John Chow’s blog, for example, and said Wow! I make today a blog and tomorrow I will be rich!

    You are too right.

I’m feeling a little bitter because of my negative experiences with adsense… just when I start to think there is a possibility of earning something… feels like a breakthrough… bang, they don’t really ban me.. they just start screwing around with my previous username (not a gmail address) so that I am confused out of my mind and unable to get back into my account. Total crazy-making stuff. And what recourse do I have? None. I’m pretty sure I am not the only person who has been bamboozled by google adsense. grrr.

    Thanks for dropping by!
I’m sorry to hear about your experiences with adsense. You must to contact adsense’s staff and ask them what to do. I’m sure they have a solution for your problem.
And by the way, Granny, you have a nice site and your nephew is very cute

There’s two facets of making money online that are extremely important. There’s attracting traffic, and there’s monetizing that traffic. All else is ultimately done in service of these two.

I’m not saying the blog can’t be just for fun, or that a just-for-fun blog can’t make money. But in order to make money, you absolutely need traffic (of some kind) and a way to monetize it! It’s kind of like how in sales, you need customers and something to sell to them. Just one or the other isn’t going to help you much!
