I don’t even come across very many sites that use .info. Same goes for .us and .tv, among others. $0.99 for a domain is a sweet deal, so I guess it’s good to have for forwarding purposes.

Hi Jeff, thank you for stopping by. I hope you’ll find at least a few interesting things here.

I think info domains are suitable for websites which you don’t intend to build as authorities. They are just fine for online shops, the greatest advantage being that you still can find some good keyword names which in .com are already taken.

Wanted to return the favor and drop by your blog for a read.

I hadn’t ever heard anything good about having a .info domain so I never purchased one. I know some people may have gotten stung by it because they bought one to lock up every extension for their domain name.

Nadeesha, it seems that there was a glitch on GoDaddy and they sell .info domains again at the same price.

I’m a bit surprised to hear that you’re doing relatively well with a .info domain. Most of the people have told me that they are outperformed by .com and .net!

It’s a shame that I didn’t know it before godaddy closed down their .info offers!

Thanks, Don, I haven’t found this one. Meanwhile GoDaddy fixed that issue they probably had, so we were able to register the .info domains with them

Wow, Anthony, I’m sorry to hear that. I knew about the automatic renewals, and actually I like them, because this way I avoid losing names I want to keep. When you signed up with GoDaddy, there was an option whether or not you’d like them to automatically renew your domains. I think it is ticked by default, but you can un-tick it.

Why don’t you try to sell your names in some auction websites? You could get back some of your money, you know?
