How Much Money Can One Make Online With Smorty

Smorty is one of the paid-to-post programs, where you can either find bloggers to write about your products, or you can write reviews and get paid. Before reading the rest of the article, please be aware that writing such paid posts which contain links to advertisers’ websites is not compliant with Google’s policy (Google, the search engine). This means that you may lose your Google PR and even get de-indexed from their search engine.

Coming back to Smorty, at first sight, it sounds good. Joining them and submitting your blog is very easy, but in order to avoid getting nervous, you need to carefully read their rules, amongst which, the following are worth mentioning:

Smorty Rule No 3 For Bloggers

3. You can only apply for a blogger account with a root domain. e.g. www.domain.com you can not use www.domain.com/myblog , however you can use subdomains e.g. www.myblog.domain.com

I really would like to know what’s the thinking behind, and why a root domain or a subdomain blog is acceptable, while a blog set up in a folder is not. Anyway, if your blog is not OK from this point of view, don’t bother to change it for the sake of Smorty. There are lots of similar programs to join.

What you should know more: if you have submitted by mistake a blog which is set up in a folder, you’d get rejected by Smorty. In case you change your blog set up, place in in the root domain and try to submit again, you won’t be permitted to do so: the message you’d get is that your blog is already in their system and its URL cannot be changed. This is what we call a loop  .

Smorty Rule No 4 For Bloggers

4. A Smorty administrator may terminate your account at any time. It is the sole discretion of Smorty to do so.

So, my dear blogger, I will hire you, but if one day I don’t like your face, expect that you’ll get fired and don’t ask any questions. Honestly, do you think this is a proper way to treat a business partner?

Smorty Blog Article Rule no 1

1. All blog posts MUST BE PERMANENT. Bloggers who remove posts after being paid will automatically be declined and will no longer be accepted into the Smorty network.

Business partners can separate. Life partners can separate. Even religious people nowadays may get a divorce if so they wish. People die. Seasons change. But once you’ve written a post in the Smorty’s paid-to-post program, you’re bound for life. It has to be permanent, so please make sure that you’ll keep your blog alive even after you die. Include it in your will, leave it to your children, with the noble purpose of maintaining the paid posts online.

If all these did not make you run away fast, if you are not afraid of the life bondage you’ll be subject to, then you should know that Smorty really pays. Payments are done weekly, via PayPal.

Too bad that, at least for European bloggers with blogs of PR1 or 0, there were barely four paid opportunities over the past 3 months or so.

Maybe for US residents the situation is better. Although, taking into consideration the following screenshots, I think Smorty is probably living its last days of life. The day it dies, I suppose we would finally be able to remove the paid posts from our blogs without being haunted by Ghosty ( Smorty’s ghost).

I’d call this keyword stuffing. Anyway, writing with light yellow on white is better than writing with white on white, isn’t it?

Smorty domains

And since you are here to make money online, why don’t you buy some more domains from us? We are cheap, you know?

Now a days Smorty sucks. I am tired getting their requests to review smorty.com or ashot.com.au - how many times someone can review the same services :???:

You really have some good points to say against Smorty. These days they are not on the right track and many accounts have seen deduction in the money earned, without any reason!

Too bad. I suppose the wisest thing would be to stop using them for a while (if not for good)
