How To Set Up An Amazon Affiliate Store Using Associate-o-Matic
This is a video of myself setting up Associate-o-Matic on a web domain. After watching it, you’ll hopefully be able to set up your own Amazon affiliate stores, on your domains.
Please be aware that, prior to installing Associate o Matic, you need to have your own domain and hosting.
As this is the first time I’m using Camtasia Studio, and my first time when I record myself doing something, please excuse the small hesitations I’ve had a couple of times.
This affiliate store for Amazon Kindle ebooks can be viewed online at www.readerslounge.net, with only one change: I’ve removed the subcategories, because it seems that there is a glitch in Amazon for this category: all subcategories displayed exactly the same products. However, I’ve let them there in the video, so you can see how to include them, if you want.
If you want to promote Associate-o-Matic and to earn 20% commissions on any sales you generate from your websites, join Clixgalore via the small banner below:
Joining the affiliate program is free and it is not conditioned by your purchase of Associate-o-Matic. If you want, you can use the free version and still make money from the affiliate program, by promoting the software.

Very nice video. I’ve watched most of it and only have two comments to make:
1. The price for the full version is actually $99, not $97 as mentioned in the video.
2. A discussion of setting file permissions might be helpful to the first-time user, esp. as that seems to be a big stumbling block for many people who may not have much experience with doing that with files.
Otherwise, a nice primer.
Thank you for the comment. My mistake with the price. Nevertheless, speaking about the price, I can give you a hint to get it 20% cheaper: join the affiliate program (see details in the article) and buy via that link.
I’ll make a separate video for changing file permissions, as this one was already too long.
But who knows, maybe some readers will further promote AoM and bring you even more clients.
hi Simonne

Thank you, Spidro. The traffic doesn’t come from Clixgalore. We build the shops based on the keyword research we’ve previously done: we try to find keywords with good traffic from SERPs and low competition. Then we build links to the shop: we submit to web directories, we write articles with links, we comment on blogs… and whenever we can, we try to use our main keyword as anchor for the links. Then we wait, and eventually, traffic comes from organic search.
hi Simonne
thanks for your replay, i already know that but what do you mean by promoting with Clixgalore

If you want, you can tell other people about Associate-o-Matic, and if you convince them to buy the software via your affiliate link, you get 20% commission for each of them. In order for you to do this, you need to have an affiliate link, which you can obtain by joining Clixgalore.
Nice video! I have to get up to speed making such things myself. How long did it take you to make your first cut?
Best wishes,
Barbara

Thank you, Barbara.
I think I’ve spent about 3-4 hours on doing the video. I’ve recorded the first 10 minutes about 6 times, until I figured out how to use Camtasia, and until I was able to make the sound loud enough. Once I got the microphone working, I recorded everything in one shoot (I’ve just pressed ‘Pause’ a couple of times because the cat jumped on my back).
You should definitely try it, too: it’s fun.

Hi Simone,
Very Informative video. I’m just about to try this one after doing Affilistore which I referred to your Affilistore Video a lot when I was configuring it. I blogged my journey into a six part series. LOL.
The price says Annual subscription. First year $99 and $20. Or do we pay a one time fee.

Thanks Costa, I’m glad you found our videos useful. Make sure you have backups for your Affilistore sites. Ours were infected with malware recently and we had to reinstall everything.
For Associate-o-Matic we’ve chosen to pay the one time fee. Nevertheless, you can first go for the one month trial, to see if it is worth the money. Amazon has a low commission percentage and the cookies last only one day.
