Terry is right, that's a big bullshit. Too bad so many people fall for it! Then they start spamming blog comments (pretty much like you did), hoping to get those 50 references you also dream about! I'm not deleting your affiliate link, as my readers are smart, so you won't get any referral anyway, Jorge.

Jorge,

This same sort of crap is peddled by scam artists all over the net and is a pile of absolute bullshit my friend.

No one will refer 10 people to earn 10c a day let alone 50.

Any intelligent person's time is much better spent building PPC sites that grow over time and will earn you much more money in your sleep without having to view more scam sales pages.

The fear of failing is holding 99.99% of the population back. Now even though that is a bad thing it can also be viewed as a positive thing for the 0.01% that do take action, fail and try again. It means that there is a lot less competition :)

Almost everything can be faked these days, except SERPs positions. It is possible to make $1000 per day, but one has to work for that a lot, and work smart. Besides, if I make $1000 today, I've actually made that in one day plus three years of learning, building, experimenting and failing. This is what many dreamers still have to understand.

I am glad you found Grizzly's new blog. I believe he's one of the most reliable Adsense tip giver today, and not selling anything.

Incidentally, he just announced on his blogspost blog that he made almost $10,000 from Google Adsense just within 2 weeks and a few days with $1,000 each. Although some may question his testimony, as I am sure it is easy to produce a fake Adsense report these days, he admits he have used 3 blogs to achieve that.

If one will patiently read his previous posts (average of 6 posts/month), he will realize that Grizzly is very particular in getting high search engine traffic and niche blogging.

Speaking of smart pricing, some publishers are being affected by this because most of their ad clickers are coming from social traffic. Apparently, they are not really interested in buying the product.

The visitors from search engines do.

Regards.

Thanks, Terry.

Funny, I'm having now exactly the same issue as you do with a site - it started to get traffic, but the ads are not what those people are looking for. Luckily it's a new site, so I suppose I'll be able to tweak it to rank for other keywords in that niche.

As you say, there are always options - if people don't want to risk the AdSense account, they could go for other programs, which may not be that good, but they'd still earn some money. I remember using AdBrite for a short period of time and the CPC was decent - it's true they don't have such a huge advertisers pool as Google does, but you never know until you try.

The point is that many people don't do anything because they put the carriage in front of the horses - instead of first focusing on learning how to get the bloody traffic to their sites, they fear losing an AdSense account that brings very little, exactly because they don't see they need to start with the beginning. Which is getting traffic. After that, it's statistics - a certain percentage will either buy or click on something, so you still end up with money in the pocket. But traffic should come first.

Good post Simonne.

I've been risking my adsense on a certain niche that brings in good organic traffic, but its keywords are ambiguous. The right ads trigger, but the traffic is not looking for what the ads are showing. I have chalked it up to a success with dominating the SERPs but a failure to convert.

After Griz's post, I'm tempted to look once again at trends (I tried about a year ago after Vic popularised it, but failed to make it work). The idea of creating brand new blogs that are forced to the top of the SERPs means crossing the line to black hat tactics. This would be a seriously risk to an adsense account.

But there are always options. Who is to say it is any harder to rank an established site for a trend? We have blogs and posts can rank No1 if they hit the right story at the right time.

I've been slowly grooming a news themed site and maybe now is the time to put on adsense and try for something interesting.

I think a lot of what we as Internet Marketers do is contained in a box that says:

"If you go outside this box, something might happen."

Most people stay inside the box because its safe, but nothing much happens in there. A few venture outside and take a chance on what might happen.

These are true business people because they know that in order to succeed in business you have to be prepared to take risks.

No one ever got rich by playing it safe.

 I wasn't looking at your stats, Denise, and it was not you I had in mind when I wrote this. I also have a big bunch of sites that have no more than 50 visitors a day, yet earnings add up nicely when you have a lot of those blogs.

When I do something, I always think "what's the worst that may happen". Getting smart priced is reversible, so I don't worry so much about it. Nevertheless, what Griz showed in his last post is a kind of take the money and run. It's fun, but we don't know about how many hot topics he wrote until he got those ones right.

I admire you for doing so many things while having a 12 hour job. Thanks for stopping by, as well.
