ProjectWonderful: Advertise and make some bucks

Project Wonderful is a pretty newly launched project which allows you to advertise on other sites using an auction system, by bidding per day, per advert. The higher bidder takes the ad and his/her ad will be displayed immediately. You can also earn some bucks, by displaying ads through Project Wonderful on your site.
Project Wonderful for advertisers
You can choose on what sites you want to advertise by using the search function through the sites submitted in the Project Wonderful network.

You can search by tags, by domains, by page views or by current bid. That’s way you can bid on sites from your niche with very few bucks/day. The current bid can vary from $0 to $5 (for example). But I saw very few sites with $5/day through Project Wonderful. Most of the sites have a current bid between $0 and $2/day. You pay as long as you are the higher bidder.
Let’s give an example: you want to advertise on a site which has a current bid of $0.05. You will bid, for example, a maximum of $0.5. If you are the only bidder, you will be the higher bidder so your ad will be displayed immediately and you will pay $0.05/day. If someone else will bid for the same ad, let’s say $0.1, you will be still the higher bidder, but you will pay $0.11/day. You can also choose for how many days you want to advertise on a site and what are the maximum amounts of money you want to pay for advertise on a site. If someone will bid $0.55, you will be outbid and your ad will no longer be displayed on that site, until that someone will end his/her funds or advertising periods. Then, your ad will be displayed again, unless you have canceled that bid.
Once you place a bid, you can edit that bid or you can cancel it. You have full statistics for that bid, like how many times your ad has been displayed, how many times it has been clicked, how much money you have spent.
You can advertise by choosing your desired sites one by one, or you can set up a campaign, by choosing sites with specific tags or specific current bid. Until now, we’ve chosen the sites manually, so we will give you some stats later in this article.
Tips for advertisers
- Choose those sites which display the ads above the fold, in a very prominent place.
- Choose to advertise on sites with a high level of traffic.
- Design an attractive ad. If you don’t have skills as a designer, you can choose a free ad from our Project WonderFree, where we have a lot of 125×125 ads.
Project Wonderful for publishers
As a publisher, you can earn some bucks through Project Wonderful. If your site is known and has a lot of visitors, you have more chances for someone to advertise on it. If your site is small, you may be chosen through a campaign.
You can choose what format of ad you want to display on your site. You can put how many ads you want, wherever you want. You can set your own price for your ads. You have a lot of options for controlling the ads which appears on your site.
Tips for publishers
- Place your ads above the fold, in a prominent place. Advertisers want more exposure for their ads.
- Write a good description for your site.
- Tag as many relevant keywords as you can, so advertisers to find you easier when they search sites by tags.
- Set a lower minimum bid to attract advertisers. A minimum bid of $0.1 is pretty good.
- Choose the option Autoapprove all ads. You don’t want to waste your time by approving all your ads. Let’s Project Wonderful do this for you.
Project Wonderful – Our experiences
As advertisers:
We advertised for about 3 weeks through Project Wonderful. We’ve manually chosen 22 sites, with ads above the fold, with enough visitors. We’ve spent about $75. Our ads were displayed for 16,387 times and our ads were clicked for 187 times. That’s a CTR of 1.14%.
Yesterday, because we had another $15 in our PW account, we decided to setup a campaign. So we’ve chosen all sites with 125×125 ads, tagged with money, with a current bid between $0 and $0.2. Our ad was displayed on about 188 sites, was viewed for about 45795 times and was clicked for about 128 times. Our campaign last until our money ended, about 13 hours. Although the CTR was only 0.3%, much smaller than in the first case, the cost per visit was much better: $0.12, compared to $0.40 in the first case.
Statistics show that is better to setup a campaign instead of choosing sites manually. But for a campaign you must have some budget, because there are many sites involved, so you can easily spend about $20/day. Between those sites there are also sites with ads below the fold, so you will not receive any click, or very few. Even if you delete some of these bids, if you decide you don’t want to advertise on some sites from your campaign, Project Wonderful will choose them again and your ad will appear again on them. This is the reason why the EzMoneyOn.Net ad was displayed on my personal blog, even if I’ve deleted the bid on my blog 3 times.

As publishers:
We don’t have much to say as publishers. We’ve displayed Project Wonderful ads on EzMoneyOn.Net for about 1 week and we’ve earned about $2. So we decided to replace them with something more useful, like MoneyMagnet, for example, which brought us $15 in 3 days.

Great post on project wonderful. I use it as well as a source of passive income. I rarely advertise.
Isn’t money magnet a pyramid scheme?

Thanks for your appreciation!
Money Magnet isn’t a pyramid scheme, they have even a note:
“This is not an MLM opportunity. There are no payments on multiple levels.”
So you are paid only for ads bought through you.
Unfortunately, they have right now some trouble with PayPal, so the service didn’t work 2-3 days. They try to implement some alternative methods for payment. But I’m sure they will be on in a few days. We like them because they pay instantly
Hey Diana, you might also want to try Etology. I’ve been using this service for a few months now and so far I’m quite happy with the results. Project Wonderful is nice, but I wasn’t happy with my overall earnings. Therefore, I started searching for something better and eventually found Etology. With Etology you can set your own prices (no bidding), which in the long run equals higher earnings and less hassle. Check out this review that I wrote a few weeks ago.
